Calcutta is My Mother documents a transracial adoptee’s journey back to the city where she was born. Reshma is determined to learn the truth about the first few months of her life and embrace her heritage. In an attempt to connect to her roots, Reshma leans into Indian culture, asks difficult questions, and wrestles with all she lost and gained through adoption.
