The Portal

THE PORTAL
A musical and visual journey into the unknown…
The Portal is a multi-media rock concert that weaves live-music, video, story and poetry into one comprehensive and mythical experience.
Come with us as Dante, lured by the words and visions of a mysterious and compassionate woman, travels into the strangest and most beautiful realms of the desert. Along the way, he must confront a variety of characters—archetypes who are reflection of his own troubled but determined mind. As you, the audience, accompany Dante on his quest, you will be rocked and rolled, awed and entranced, broken and healed and thrown headlong into cosmic, whirling images. For, ultimately, The Portal does not bid you enter the house of its wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind.
Inspired by such forces as Pink Floyd, Kan Nal, Burning Man, Kahlil Gibran, Joseph Campbell, the science of fractals and the earliest rituals of mankind, The Portal is the creation of a living and communal mythology about our modern-age.
The Portal was filmed around Moab, Utah and, otherwise, produced in Boulder, CO. Join us at The Oriental for a free, “pre-release” show at the end of our last round of rehearsals. You will be the first to witness the pioneering of another paradigm in concerts.
