
Bobby Collins aka “Bobby C Sound TV” aka “Spaceflight Orchestra” has been rocking venues far and wide for the past 8 years. He mixes anything and everything to create an eclectic, party-rocking experience. Bobby finished 3rd out of 2,200 entries in the 2006 Westword DJ Mix Competition. He was the only multi-genre DJ to be a finalist. His track “Mellotronic” saw its national release on the Pangea Natural Selection Compilation. He appeared alongside national artists such as Bassnectar, Cosmic Rocker and DJ Harry. Thus far the release has had articles and reviews in Billboard Magazine, XLR8R, Image, Igloo magazines and also at properlychilled.com (they called “Mellotronic” a downtempo classic, they are wise). He recently remixed NYC artist and Infla Granti member, Cosmic Rocker’s “Hubert Von Filter”. The track was charted by J-Boogie in his Summer top twenty for 2,008. Also in 2,008 he signed with Black Bridge Records as the producer behind Spaceflight Orchestra. SFO’s first album “An Orchestra Of One” is due out in January 2,009. Stylistically covering a wide range of sonic territories. The album will feature remix work by J-Boogie of Om Records as well as Germany’s own Quincy Jointz and many more. He is currently in the studios working on his next album with King Scratchie of Warlock Pinchers fame on Vocals. Bobby recently unveiled, “Bobby C Sound TV” wherein he mixes audio and video live on the fly using turntables and without the aid of any pre or post production. His 8 years of DJ experience is combined with his love of cinema to create a pastiche of pop-culture that is visually stimulating and very danceable at the same time. He has played just about every venue in his home state of Colorado as well a number of out state performances.
